La La Land
The jazz club Le Caveau de la Huchette in the Latin Quarter has experienced a huge surge in popularity since its brief appearance in La La Land, when Sebastian and Mia visit it on their dreamlike voyage.

5 Rue de la Huchette, 5th arrondissement
Inception
While Paris is a major film location for Inception, the Bir Hakeim bridge stands out. So much so that it is sometimes just referred to as the Inception bridge.

The Bourne Identity
When Jason Bourne returns to his apartment on 104 Avenue Kléber (which in the movie is given as 104 Rue du Jardin), he realizes that someone wants him out of the way.

Amélie
The French cult film Amélie is a poetic depiction of Montmartre and was shot mainly in the district. Many scenes take place in the café where Amélie works, which also exists in real life. Since the movie’s release, the Café des Deux Moulins has become a tourist magnet, but it’s also frequented by regulars.

La Boum
The whole film is set in Paris, most of it in the 5th arrondissement around the Panthéon, as is Vic’s and Samantha’s school, the Lycée Henri IV.

23 Rue Clovis, 5th arrondissement
Hotel du Nord
The film is based on the novel by Eugène Dabit, who uses it to describe his experiences as the son of the hotel owners. The real Hotel du Nord still exists and is in operation thanks to a local residents’ initiative, which saved the building from being torn down in the 1980s.

Before Sunset
Following a stroll around town, Celine and Jesse sit and chat at Le Pure Café, a typical Parisian bar-café in the 11th arrondissement, that even now, twenty years later, has movie fans from all over the world coming here to take pictures.
Le Pure Café
14 Rue Jean-Macé, 11th arrondissement
Midnight in Paris
Gil sits on the steps of Saint-Etienne-du-Mont church before the vintage Peugeot picks him up. If you want the real thing, visit this place at midnight and who knows, Hemingway’s ghost might sweep you away to 1920s Paris.
Église Saint-Étienne-du-Mont
Place Sainte-Geneviève, 5th arrondissement
Sex and the City
There are so many locations to choose from (and many businesses that don’t exist anymore), so let’s go with: Kong. You know, the restaurant with the glass-roof and the tacky chairs, where Carrie meets Aleksandr’s ex-wife for lunch.

1 Rue du Pont Neuf, 1st arrondissement
Gossip Girl
The most iconic scene from the girls’ Paris trip is when Blair pushes Serena into the Louvois Fountain during their double date with the Prince of Monaco and his chauffeur. The stunning fountain occupies the site of a former opera house, the Opéra de la rue de Richelieu, built in 1792 and demolished in 1820.
Fontaine Louvois
4 Rue de Louvois, 2nd arrondissement
Modern Family
Speaking of glass-roofed restaurants: At the end of the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker’s Paris trip, the whole family gathers at L’Oiseau Blanc for a last meal together before returning home.
L’Oiseau Blanc at The Peninsula
19 Avenue Kléber, 16th arrondissement
And finally…
Emily in Paris
It’s common knowledge that the show is more an American fantasy of Paris than a realistic depiction. For example, Emily could never afford her apartment in the Latin Quarter (1 Place de l’Estrapade). The most ridiculous thing the show has done, however, is try to convince the world that the McDonalds on the Champs-Elysées is chic and tidy.
